For my school, I'm reading a book called Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris. I have read it previously, but it is definitely worth reading over and over.
The list of different types of hard things is really interesting, because most of the time I tend to think of really big things when I think of hard things. Things like raising money for wells in Africa, which it talks about a teen doing.
However, there are also other hard things to do. Here are five kinds of hard things listed in the book:
1. Things that are outside your comfort zone. These are things that you don't normally do and are hard for you, such as public speaking or talking to new people.
2. Things that are beyond what is expected or required. These can be things like working harder than needed to pass in school, or doing more work in your house than is absolutely necessary.
3. Things that are too big to accomplish alone. These are things like what I was talking about at first.
4. Things that don't earn an immediate payoff. These are things like eating healthy, which don't show as soon as you start.
5. Things that challenge the cultural norm. These are things like dressing modestly, or working really hard to get an education.
These are all things that anybody can do. These are things that improve our character, and change both our world and those that are influenced by us, which is about everybody we ever meet.

I'd encourage everybody to read their book. It's really good. <3
